To celebrate the student's success I put together a surprise for the kids...a Gnome Party!
| Here is our little village of gnomes made by a very talented 12 year old! |
| Students walked into class and saw the display...they were excited! |
| A close up |
| Our cupcake maker took the time to make a few of the gnome hats look like our sole surviving gnome's broken head. |
| Showing off our gnomes |
| Biting the heat off of our gnomes! |
We watched Gnomeo and Juliet while eating the cupcakes.
I am proud of the accomplishments that the class has made throughout the year with oral language. Speaking in front of your peers is tough, whether stating an opinion in Community Circle, answering a question during a lesson, contributing to group work, or getting up in front of the class and presenting information. Each student made progress (big or small) since September in this part of the Language program - great job!!!!

A special thanks to Justin who went out of his way to say thanks, not only for his cupcake, but for the party. That thank you made my day and made all the effort worth while.
